Data & transparency
The TIPSTARS dataset
TIPSTARS creates its own historical dataset as competitors submit selections. That dataset is the foundation of our analysis.

What is recorded?
Selections submitted to TIPSTARS can include sport, country, league, event, market, selection, decimal odds, bookmaker, stake, submission time and settlement result.
How is it used?
We aggregate those records into performance views covering tipsters, sports, competitions, odds ranges and markets. Pages link back to underlying recorded selections so the analysis can be inspected.
Why publish the methodology?
Performance statistics can be misleading without context. We show sample sizes and explain our calculations so visitors can understand what the numbers do and do not mean.
What TIPSTARS does not claim
The dataset is historical and competition-based. It does not establish that a tipster has a guaranteed edge, and it is not a promise of future betting performance.
